Andrea Reinert was a farmer’s daughter, born and brought up in Norðradalur and a popular women’s dressmaker in Copenhagen in the 1930s. She was married to the engineer H. Clément Dethlefsen and wrote the short story “Dreymurin” (The Dream), based on historical legend and printed in Søgubókin, 1949, as well as a number of poems about the urge to rebel, the call of foreign places, and sorrow, which were printed in the periodicals Várðin, 1932-1939, and Búgvin, 1941.
