Nanna Reedtz came from Bisgård in Tamdrup parish and lived for periods of time at Stensballegaard at the home of Elisabeth Krag Juel-Vind-Arenfeldt, where she was inspired to start a collection of folklore. She herself was an eager collector, but she also inspired others to collect.
She sent all her recorded material to Svend Grundtvig.
