Kristina Posse

1630 - 1668

Sweden

Kristina Posse is the author of a surviving genealogical book, a period-piece from around 1650. She was the daughter of the sister of Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna, in whose home she grew up. In 1658, she married the governor Carl Filip Sack and after his death married member of the Rigsråd, Council of the Realm, Ernst Johan Creutz in 1668. She died six months after her second wedding. Her surviving genealogical work begins in 1648 with the monogram of Queen Christina. It makes reference to many names from the royal Court circle frequented by Kristina Posse’s friends and relatives.
