Frederikke Louise Stolberg

Frederikke Louise Stolberg hosted a salon for a predominantly German literary circle of Trembüttel and later in Vindeby. She was the daughter of titular Privy Councillor, Count Christian Ditlev Reventlow, the sister of Johan Ludvig and Christian Ditlev Reventlow, and was married twice, the second time in 1777 to the German poet Christian Stolberg, a prefect in Schleswig-Holstein.

She was one of the greatest letter-writers of her time and wrote the drama Emil: Ein Drama in drei Aufzügen, cf. Efterladte Papirer fra den Reventlowske Familiekreds 1770-1827, 10 volumes, by L. Bobé, 1895-1932 (vol. 3).
