Emilie Thorup was a clergyman’s daughter from Zealand, who wrote spiritual songs and poems that were published posthumously in 1891 entitled Efterladte aandelige Digte af E. Fifteen of these poems were included in the song-book of Indre Mission (the Church Association for the Inner Mission in Denmark), an evangelical branch of the Church of Denmark of 1910.
