Signe Christine Antoinette Manna Reimer depicted ordinary life and wrote as a journalist, was born into a family of teachers in Bogense, and was herself a teacher until she became a serious writer. Her major work is the depiction of ordinary life in Nordfynsk Bondeliv i Mands Minde, which was published in 1910-1919. Like her friend Helene Strange, she was, in addition to being a folklorist writer, also an active journalist writing on many topics ranging from housekeeping to nature.
