Eva Moberg was the daughter of the author Vilhelm Moberg, is a journalist and writer, and made a name for herself in Sweden with her article “Kvinnans villkorliga frigivning” (the arbritrary emancipation of women), 1961, which was a spark that kindled debate on equality of the sexes in Sweden.

In 1963, she submitted her Master of Arts dissertation entitled Kärlek och kön. En studie i Colettes diktning. In the late 1960s, she wrote controversial plays such as Grov kränkning, 1968, and Dom kallas människor, 1970. From 1976 to 1992, Eva Moberg was a front-page columnist for the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
