Emilia Margareta Ahnfelt-Laurin was the daughter of a clergyman in Scania and published three songbooks, the first of which was issued in 1879 and contains hundreds of Swedish translations of hymns by N. F. S. Grundtvig. She also rendered songs written by her paternal uncle, the lay preacher and singer Oscar Ahnfelt, into Danish.
