Vibeke Olsson is a Baptist pastor and daughter of the prominent journalist couple Jan-Olof Olsson (Jolo) and Margareta Sjögren. Her teenage novels about a girl’s experiences during World War II, Ulrike och kriget, 1975, and Ulrike och freden, 1976, were followed in the 1980s by a series of popular novels with plots set in Roman times, such as Kvarnen och Korset, 1984, En plats at vila på, 1989, and Kastellet, 1992, about Christian love and Christian ethics in particular. In her autobiographical novel Marmeladprovet, 1994, she describes her first marriage, which ended in divorce.
