Kirstine Brøndum grew up near Mariager Fjord, has a degree in ethnography, and is a trained actress and script writer. Her debut novel Solen mellem tyrens horn, 1996, is a fictitious story based on the life and marriage of the sculptor Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen to the composer Carl Nielsen. In short chapters saturated with images, Kirstine Brøndum portrays a love relationship and a female artist’s conflict.
