Kirstine Brøndum

Kirstine Brøndum grew up near Mariager Fjord, has a degree in ethnography, and is a trained actress and script writer. Her debut novel Solen mellem tyrens horn, 1996, is a fictitious story based on the life and marriage of the sculptor Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen to the composer Carl Nielsen. In short chapters saturated with images, Kirstine Brøndum portrays a love relationship and a female artist’s conflict.

The above biography was first published in 1998. Since then, Kirstine Brøndum has lived in Tromsø, Norway. She has written the novels Tordenkalven, 2002, and Af jord, 2008, and the short story collection Eva, 2004.
