Margit Sandemo had a Swedish mother. She began to write at the age of thirty-nine. She writes popular, light novels and is best known for her historical serial novel Sagan om Isfolket, 1982-1989, which begins with Trollbunden and is in forty-seven parts. The series recounts the story of the mythical Ice People’s descendants and is underpinned by passionate romance and occult mysticism.
