Gunilla Linn Persson

1956 -

Sweden

Gunilla Linn Persson was born in Stockholm, but led a roaming life and developed a strong attachment to her maternal grandparents, who later turned out to be her mother’s adoptive parents. Her lack of contact with her home region and her family has had an impact on her writing, which is evident in both her debut novel Skuggorna bakom oss, 1989, and in Människor i högt gräs (N), 1991.

Smultronfälten, 1995, tells the affectionate story of a friendship between two small girls. Besides adult and children’s literature, she has also written dramas for the theatre and television.
