Annie Riis

1927 - 2020

Norway

Annie Riis grew up in Oslo and holds a university degree. After life as a housewife with husband and children, Annie Riis made her debut at the age of forty-eight with her poetry collection Satura. She has since published several poetry collections, including Runder, 1986, several children’s and teenage books, the novels Azoras hus, 1988, and Fridafrank, 1991. Her texts are often ironic, and they humorously lash out at the self-important and the snobby.
