Anne Lilmoes was born in Aarhus, qualified as a teacher, and has worked in connection with children and teenage radio programmes by the Danish Broadcasting Association 1972-2001. Her debut novel for children, Rejsen til de hæse skyggers land, 1988, which, like her subsequent novel “Du, min Jonathan“, 1991, and her serial novel Yaxhiri, uses the fairy-tale-like, psychological universe of the fantasy genre. The “Yaxhiri” series, which begins with Hvad floden bragte, 1993, extend over seven volumes in all. It describes the heroine’s fantastic journey as she passes through different stages of life and different psychological landscapes.

The above biography was first published in 1998. Since then, Anne Lilmoes has written a number of children’s and teenage books, including the Siri Q series in seven volumes, and two books about alcoholism, Den værste hemmelighed, 1998, and Vores År, 2000.
