Aagot Vinterbo-Hohr

Aagot Vinterbo-Hohr was born in Snefjord, Finnmark, qualified as a doctor in Austria, received a research grant, and practised as a doctor in many areas of Finnmark.

In 1987 she was awarded the Norwegian prize for debut works for her poetic novel Palimpsest. She later published a poetry collection and wrote several essays on literary and cultural theory, took part in numerous international conferences, both as a speaker and reciter, and in 1992 she was Visiting Poet at The Yates Festival in Sligo, Ireland.
