Gerd Nyquist

Gerd Nyquist was born in Oslo and is the mother of the writer Arild Nyquist. She became the first president of the Riverton Club, which was founded in 1972 “to promote good detective fiction”.

She made her debut in 1957 with the novel Måne over Munkeby and is best known for her detective novels Avdøde ønsket ikke blomster, 1960, and Stille som i graven, 1966. She has also written children’s books.
