Efie Beydin

Elfie Beydin was born in Germany, where she spent part of her childhood. She has a degree in German and is a trained artist. Her debut work, the poetry collection Sommerfuglekrigeren, was published in 1991, followed in 1995 by the novel Fiorellis metode. The motifs for the plots and the aesthetics of her short stories in the collection Paradisfuglen, 1996, are partly inspired by pictorial art. They are psychological stories that revolve around internal and external space, constraints, and ways of breaking out.

She was the recipient of The Danish Art Foundation Work Grant between 2007 and 2010.
